This thing got to my house the day I left for Santa Cruz so I’ll blog about it before I post up the San Francisco stuff. I’m super stoked with everything about the backpack. It’s inspired by hiking backpacks but they’ve converted the idea into a street-worthy product. The size is perfect, the construction is super clean and there’s a laptop sleeve which most of my backpacks lack. I think I have an obsession with blue ripstop.

I wrote about a pair of Gravis sandals I bought a few posts ago. I made a short film with them.
Final Second Year Project

Here’s a little catalog-esque I’ve made for my project for Nike.
The Message Project
May 31st, 2010 § 0
I finally started my Nike Branding Project for school. I’m actually pretty stoked on it because it’s such an open brief. The sportswear kids have to make a web based presentation so I made a little website for an imaginary group of artists called the Sprint Crew. They run from location to location around Rio De Janeiro to put various messages in art format. The idea behind my project is: Nike makes a sub brand called Nike Cor(Cor means Colour in Portuguese) and Nike Cor makes garments and accessories made for artists on the go; a perfect line of clothing for the Sprint Crew.
Nike’s Last Too Long
May 20th, 2010 § 0
I bought these in Japan about two summers ago. I had a pair of Vans slip-ons that were super knackered and my mom told me I’m not allowed to wear them anymore. So Zack and I hit up Harajuku, hunting for shoes and I saw these ones and bought them. Durability is the new eco friendliness.
Heaume
May 15th, 2010 § 0
I’ve decided to call this Heaume since it reminds me of what people wore back in the day when they jousted. It’s also cool since nobody will no know how to really pronounce it(even I don’t know how to say it). I finished hand-sewing the buttons on and I’m very stoked on how the entire thing turned out.
Pattern Cutting is Pretty Rad
May 13th, 2010 § 0
I never actually liked pattern cutting when I first started making clothes. I’d usually just whip then up from the final fabric and if I’d ever want to recreate it, I’d have to take that garment apart to use the patterns. Now I’m starting to become more accurate and precise with all the panels that go into the garments and it’s pretty sick.
Awesome Headwear
May 13th, 2010 § 0
So this is a toile of a hat/mask-esque thing I made for the Speedo Project. Super stoked with the shape of it. There should be buttons instead of pins.
All About Headwear
May 10th, 2010 § 0
A few weeks ago, my course got a brief from Speedo. We have to transform the banned Speedo LZR Racer swimsuit into something else. Originally I was just going to make compression sleeves since it was functional and you can get loads from one suit. I got bored of that so then I opted to make a weird shaped hoodie. I also got bored of that and then I had a eureka moment. Not sure why but I decided that I wanted to make hats. Hats are actually pretty fun things to make. It’s just challenging to get the shape spot on.
Soto Jacket Finally Finished
April 27th, 2010 § 0
It took me a while to stop procrastinating but I finally finished this jacket and I’m super stoked with the way it turned out. The thing creates a lot of interesting shapes, depending on how you wear it. Chloe looks pretty rad in it.
Falmouth Fashion Show

I didn’t make the ff logo in the back but I’m stoked with the layout. If you’re from Cornwall and you want to model or you know people that do, send them to this casting. For more details check out the facebook page.
Brewing Ideas

Here’s a page where I doodled ideas for how to slice up the front panel of the wetsuit. I just like the way its all laid out.
The Making Of the Sco Wetsuit

Here’s a little video of me making the wetsuit and also explaining the reasoning behind it.
Kamome Wetsuit Mini Movie
March 21st, 2010 § 2
Here’s a little video thing I made for the presentation of my wetsuit. I’m planning on making a smoother, better timed, non rushed version of it later on.
The music is by Of Melting Moons from Santa Cruz. Mitch Rossi says a few words of surfing in the vid.
Spirit Drainage
March 20th, 2010 § 0
I’ve finally finished my project. I’ll put up the video I made for it once it’s finished uploading. I’ve never done a true all nighter but I finally did for this project. I put 100% into it and I’m stoked with the results. Hopefully I’ll be able to find that extra 10% for next year and go all out and more.
Sco Wetsuit Finally Finished!
March 18th, 2010 § 3
3.5 days, 12 hours a day, just gluing and blindstitching and it’s finally complete! I’m too high off the neoprene glue fumes to be stoked about this but yeah it’s sick. If you want me to make you a custom wetsuit, it’ll cost you £500(BARGAIN!).
First Kamome Wetsuit Almost Complete!

This will be the first legit wetsuit I’ve ever made and I’m ridiculously chuffed!
Yamamoto Rubber Neoprene Samples
March 11th, 2010 § 0
I stopped by the old surf shop today and there was a parcel there for me from Yamamoto. I asked them for samples of smooth skin neoprene about a week ago and they sent me super sweet stuff! I can’t wait to put this in my wetsuit.

It’s all about Japanese Mail.
Wetsuit Test #1
March 11th, 2010 § 2
I was super stoked and very impatient about my first semi wetsuit so I decided to take it to the sea. The waves were breaking on shore so that was a bummer but I’m pretty chuffed that the suit didn’t come apart.
